In the first program in our spring lecture series, Tricia Noel will look at the Underground Railroad in Yates County. She will focus on six abolitionists active in the county and the sites associated with them. Tricia Lewis Noel is Executive Director/Curator of the Yates County History Center and the program is a companion to their recently opened exhibit A Dangerous Freedom: Abolitionists, Freedom Seekers and the Underground Railroad in Yates County.

The Lecture Series is supported in part by the Samuel B. Williams fund for programs in the Humanities and is free and open to the public. For more information about the program, call the Geneva Historical Society office at 315-789-5151.
