Online Lessons: Geneva 1900

These lessons on Geneva in 1900 were created based on an in-classroom kit developed for second grade and focused on childhood in Geneva in 1900. The lessons have been revised to be delivered by a teacher using digital materials from the Historic Geneva collection and lesson plans created by museum staff. While focused on the local community content of the New York State Social Studies curriculum for grade 2, some materials may be also useful for New York State’s grade 1 explorations of Time, Continuity and Change.

The first three lessons on Geneva in 1900, including images and associated texts, can be viewed and downloaded from this Google Drive folder. Further materials will be added as they are revised.
